History of the Temple:

• From 1777 to 1815, there was a Roman Catholic chapel in Sadgora, built from a building left by the Turks.

• In 1815, a rectangular brick church appeared on the site of the chapel.

• In 1897, the church underwent reconstruction and additions and acquired a cruciform shape according to the design of engineer Wenzel Klika.

• In June 1962, the Soviet authorities closed the Church of St. Archangel Michael to parishioners and turned it into a warehouse.

• On September 29, 1991, the Church of St. Archangel Michael was returned to the use of the Roman Catholic community.

• On May 27, 2018, the church was proclaimed the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima.

• On September 29, 2025, the Church of St. Archangel Michael will celebrate its 210th anniversary
